This Is The Story of The Hurricane
As disaster threatens to strike Texas, the Astros had the good sense to cancel two games (against the Cubs) and the Texans had the good sense to move their game to Monday night.
As disaster threatens to strike Milwaukee I’m sure that Ned Yost and crew would be happy for a few rainy days in Philly to perhaps allow CC Sabathia to take the mound for a start or two, as he is the only Brewer worth a damn. Maybe, just maybe Prince is waking up a bit as he did crush a 2-run shot last night, but they still failed to put guys on (only 6 hits and 2 walks) and were basically inept. Worse yet, Ben Sheets did not pitch well, and the Brewers will now be reliant on their stagnant offense and the back end of their rotation if they want to avoid giving away their entire lead this weekend.
Black Out
By the way, even if you have the NFL Sunday Ticket you won’t be seeing the Texans-Ravens game this weekend…unless you live in Texas.
Kickin’ It Old School
Mason Crosby has been crushing his kickoffs, and giving the Pack a huge field position advantage.
You Gwynn some, you Yost some.
Tony Gwynn, Jr. is now your primary backup outfielder. Oh joy.
Packer Backs
Detroit showed no ability to stop the run last week against the Atlanta Falcons, which makes this weeks’ game particularly interesting as there is a better than average chance that you will see Kregg Lumpkin get the majority of the carries. Ryan Grant is still nursing a sore hamstring and Brandon Jackson suffered a concussion last week and will have to pass some post-concussion tests in order to be cleared. If either Grant or Jackson misses the game, Lumpkin would make an excellent fantasy spot start. In any case, it’s tough to imagine the Packers having any difficulty with the Lions.
Today’s HOTD is brought to you by…
Leinie’s Oktoberfest, which is a fine accompaniment to any brisk fall day.

Let's hope that if we need someone in the corner spots, we use Dillon instead.
