Getting the Crowd Involved

I was perusing Paul's favorite stat head site this morning and came across an interesting little tidbit. I thought it made good trivia.

Name the best and the worst base runner on the Brewers. (Hint: neither is a pitcher)

Edit: It's actually not as interesting as I thought, I missed the second page which had the actual "worst" base runner on the team. More interesting I suppose is the second worst base runner, so guess that as well.

Without knowing or understanding the criteria, I'd say Weeks gives you the best chance to score a run from first. Fielder gives you the worst.

2nd worst I'll give to Hardy?

I thought the "stat site" gave it away. Equivalent base running runs is the criteria.

Apparently it was considerably less interesting than I found it. Weeks was far and away the best base runner on the team (obvious) while Fielder was the worst, and one of the worst in baseball with a -7.1 EqBRR. I was surprised that Hardy was second, at -1. Equally surprising, David Wright was the worst on the Mets with a -5.

Sorry. Busy day today.

You don't have to apologize for me being completely uninteresting.

I sat in my office and watched live spring training batting practice streaming over at the Urinal yesterday. It was glorious.

Hardy's problem on the bases is speed. Anonymous was me, by the way. What do I win?

My undying love.

Yikes. I thought you already gave that away. Anyway, what the hell's with you E? I can't even bait you into an argument anymore. How about a round of Joe Dillon, for old times' sake?

Once the baseball season starts I am sure there will be plenty of fighting to be had.
