Not that Cutler's a hall-of-famer or anything, it's just that we're dealing with Jim McMahon, Erik Kramer, Jim Miller, etc.
This is bad news for the Packers, and the rest of the NFC North. I would imagine that the Vikings are feeling especially stupid today.
A pox on Denver for their terrible mismanagement of this situation. The AFC East is now truly terrible.

The Bears acquired quarterback Jay Cutler today for first-round draft picks in 2009 and 2010, a third-round pick this year and Kyle Orton, the Sun-Times has learned.

The Bears have also signed Orlando Pace.

No kidding. My first thought was Crap! Crap! Crap!
I am really high on Cutler.
The three bright sides I see:
1. At least he didn't go to the Vikings.
2. At least Chicago paid a high price
3. We'll get to watch some good QB matchups between Cutler and Rodgers, which will be good for the rivalry.
The Broncos continue to move up my hated teams list. The Super Bowl, now trading Cutler to the Bears.
Interesting trade. I thought broncos could get #1's from a team with better position in the draft like Jacksonville, but i guess Orton is a maybe-decent young QB which alot of the Jet-type teams couldn't offer. Seems pretty fair, Bears have nice young QB/RB combo, they just need a receiver now. And of course their D will probably disintegrate just as they finally get a really good offense.
That is the hope.
Adding Pace to the roster to protect him is HUGE. They could be pretty good if they can get him some above average guys to throw to.
I think we should bring Charles Martin back to take care of this...
I think Pace is used up. But the Cutler deal makes them better.
I agree with Tracker, I don't think Pace is really a difference maker anymore.
