Apparently by "going about it the wrong way" Favre meant Walker should have pretended to be injured and leverage an impending retirement and atrocious back-ups to get more money, instead of being honest and saying "I am worth more than you are paying me."
Of course, Walker didn't have friends like Mariucci and Peter King to cover for his every move. JFK could only dream of this kind of media protection.

That T.O. argument is completely bogus, 99% of the press Favre has gotten from these shenanigans has been terrible. I hear sportswriters and talk radio killing him (to borrow a Mad Dog phrase) nonstop the last few years. Even Peter King has ripped him. Where do you see the media saying this whole thing is cool? Of course they're covering it, because its legitimately big news in terms of impact on the NFL.
The only thing I have watched is NFLN and Peter King and Mooch were both covering for him and kissing his ass. Saying numerous times that "this isn't about money." Suuuuuuuure.
i do agree with T.O. that NFL should let them do egotistical dances and stuff after catches/TD's. let the defenses police against that kind of stuff.
