Maaaan... I didn't need to read that. A couple years ago, I was for trading him. After last year, I was for keeping him. NOW, that article makes me think it would be better to trade him. It is a VERY compelling article. The part that hits home is the size/weight argument vs. the age of Fielder.
Hows about Ike Davis (4 star Kevin Goldstein 1b prospect), Wilmer Flores (4 star Kevin Goldstein SS prospect), and the 7th pick in the draft this year for Prince?
I don't think it's that compelling. You can't get fair value for him. How about, I'll take Bumgarner and Posey from the Giants. They'd be nuts to give em up. Anybody would be nuts to give up what the Brewers should require for Prince.
our 1 5 star prospect is a pitcher but i'd rather not give him up (obviously) he throws 95 with nasty movement. but i suppose if we take back the 7th pick in the draft i might make the deal. thats our best pitching, slugging, and infield prospects in the organization (and we're up to 15th in organizational rank).

ReplyDeleteWhat, no 5 stars? I'll have to check Baseball America too. And we'll need pitching.

ReplyDeleteMaybe you should hold on to that pitching prospect, actually:
