Wow that felt good to type. There's a Brewer game today! New manager Ken Mach will be sending mediocre veteran Jeff Suppan against a pitcher who's last name is Out-Man. I can think of few better names for a pitcher. Let's hope it's ironic. Game starts at 2:05. Go Brewers!
Ahh springtime. Prediction: Suppan gives up 3 in the first inning. Braun goes yard twice. Brewers win 5-3.
ReplyDeletewe should check out coveritlive for these
ReplyDeleteSet it up man. No better time to try it out than spring training, right?
ReplyDeleteexactly. I have to go to the dentist (first time in a decade...i am not thrilled) tonight but I'll do it tomorrow if you want.
ReplyDeleteNote to Tim McCarver: I'm not booing. I'm saying, SOOOOOOOPPPP!!!!
ReplyDeletethis could be a quick inning.
ReplyDeleteAnd Suppan gave up a dinger. Maybe that puts us closer to getting McClung into the rotation.
ReplyDeleteYes! A Charter Communications Double Play!
ReplyDeleteUeker just said Hart put on 25 lbs of muscle in the offseason. He must be a giant.
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that I'm not listening because you can't listen online and am too lazy to walk over to the radio? I say no.
ReplyDeleteI'm listening on line.
ReplyDeleteNew announcer dude seems alrights.
ReplyDeleteI'm now listening online too. MLB.com.
ReplyDeleteProvus is doing a pretty good job.
Hart Homers!
ReplyDeleteThat is good to see out of Hart.
ReplyDeleteYou have to love Uecker's observations, "The winters are long. They seem long anyway."
ReplyDeleteDerosa hit one for the Indians today. The Cubs are going to miss him more than they know.
ReplyDelete"Pinch runner Brad Nelson"
ReplyDeleteI expect to live the rest of my days without hearing those four words in that order ever again.
ha ha
ReplyDeleteI'm back. I quite literally have not been to a dentist in 10 years. Those were 10 very hard years of terrible terrible living.
ReplyDeleteOnly 1 cavity. Mine are the teeth of Gods!
I did like this Uecker conversation:
ReplyDeleteProvus: Counsell doesn't seem to be waggling his bat way above his head any more.
Uecker: He's too old to get it up there these days.
The Cubs will miss Derosa (a very good player) but mainly because they're idiots and signed Aaron Miles, who is terrbile at baseball. I suspect that Mike Fontenot is actually about as valuable as Derosa at 2nd (Derosa is also super-versatile), and if they simply played Fontenot at 2nd and Bradley all year in left, that they'd be fine.
I've heard talk of Miles seeing some time at 3rd. As a Brewer fan, I can't endorse this strategy strongly enough.

ReplyDeleteSus
extra innings...woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteAllright...rally!
ReplyDeleteawww
ReplyDeleteFunny I just had a very small cavity filled yesterday first one in years also but I do go to the dentist every 6 months having kids does that to you lead by example and all that crap.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to sit in the van waiting for the boys to get out of school with the window down enjoying the weather listening to Uke I just might survive another winter after all.
I am going to try CoverItLive for the live blog tomorrow. What I am hoping is that it works basically as a live embedded chat window. I'm not sure if you'll need to register or anything to post comments, but I think if it works well it could be a very cool tool going forward, and a nice way to watch ball games.
ReplyDeleteCool. Make it so.
