I'm stuck at work, and worse yet, I have actual work to do. However, I'm sure at least a few of you are in the same situation, so when you have a free moment, drop your commentary here. I'll post lineups (both of them, with handedness thrown in) as soon as I find the Phil's. And, if you leave an especially good comment that contains interesting data or a fine point, I'll post it in this post as an update. If I have a moment to spare.
Let's win this puppy and support Yo! Go Brewers!
Update:
For the Phils:
SS Jimmy Rollins - S
RF Jayson Werth - R
2B Chase Utley - L
1B Ryan Howard - L
LF Pat Burrell - R

LHP Cole Hamels - L
And for the Crew:

ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get the hell out of here in the next minute or so, but I'll be driving the first inning or so
ReplyDeleteUgh. Stuck in a depo in illinois and can't get gamecast to work.
ReplyDeleteWow, that sucks.
ReplyDeleteI'll post important updates here.
Okay, I got the game up now. I sure picked the wrong state to have a deposition in today. There's absolutely no sense of urgency to wrap it up by 2.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Let me know if you need directions to a sports bar or anything.
ReplyDeleteBad start. At least Cameron took some pitches.
ReplyDeleteYO!
ReplyDeleteYo.
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to see how Fielder's at-bat proceeds due to Hamels reverse split. Specifically, I'm looking for good swings, contact, and, y'know, a home run.
Lightning, eh? That's not good. I think a delay probably hurts us worse than they, since Yo is still fresh off injury, and it probably gets into our respective bullpens earlier.
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for a reason to be optimistic about Corey Hart, his long swing sometimes helps him drill change-ups that fool those with quicker bats.
ReplyDeleteNot this time though.
Crap. He's walking lefties.
ReplyDeleteBurrell has severe platoon splits as well, struggling against righties. He grounded into 10 double plays this year - all against right-handed pitching.
ReplyDeleteWalking Howard every time might not be the worst strategy really.
ReplyDeleteyou have got to be kidding me
ReplyDeleteOh Rickie.
ReplyDeleteI'm really starting to regret this lineup, both for defensive inadequacy, and for not realizing that the lefty squad would be better against Hamels, who's dealing today.
Anybody no what ch xm has the game? In a rental car in Kentucky, can't find game, need to know if when to say Fuck
ReplyDeleteall right. Chase with Ducks on the pond. Big moment here.
ReplyDeletehuge pitch to Wuerth there
ReplyDelete188 I think tracker, in that area anyway, it's on a few channels
ReplyDeleteGOD FUCKING FUCK GOD DAMNIT
ReplyDeleteAre you fricking kidding me?
ReplyDeletehow was that scored a double??
ReplyDeleteFuck
ReplyDeletetwo errors absolutely KILLING Gallardo's pitch count.
ReplyDeleteGonna need big innings from McClung
Found it, btw
ReplyDeleteFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
ReplyDeleteBill Hall, Rickie Weeks, Mike Cameron...this shit is on you
ReplyDeletehey, way to keep it in your glove fuck stick
ReplyDeletei'm absolutely baffled how a ball can literally bounce out of a guys glove and it's ruled a double
ReplyDeleteOfficial scorers are stupid morons. Keep that in mind.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, how hard was it to realize that lefties hit Hamels better than righties? Do managers really not check stuff like that?
one of the color guys commented on it. Said that even if the numbers say it, it's tough to believe.
ReplyDeleteFucking retards
What does that even mean? Do they believe that David Copperfield actually walks around stabbing leaotard-clad women?
ReplyDeleteHamels is now half way to a perfect game.
ReplyDeleteSweet. I have the power to jinx the Phils. He hasn't given up a HR yet either.
ReplyDeletehey, a hit
ReplyDeletewhy is Weeks in this lineup?
ReplyDeletei will be turning every light of my house on and idling my car during that inning
ReplyDeleteBecause he's a righty, and righties always hit lefties better. Everyone knows that. Duh.
ReplyDeletethis game may get a bit uglier now
ReplyDeletenice bender there
ReplyDeletefifth inning double switch?
ReplyDeleteinteresting.
Quite. Did someone just point outthe platoon thing, because Rickie is gone from this puppy.
ReplyDeleteWHAT???????????????
ReplyDeleteis Ray Durham dead?
ReplyDeleteugh
ReplyDeleteHey, a lefty got a hit. Who could have predicted that?
ReplyDeleteand now hall. Ugh
ReplyDeleteAlright, if Billy can avoid a DP we'll get Braun up with ducks on the pond. I like that alot.
ReplyDeletesooooooooooi bad
ReplyDeleteWell, he didn't ground into a DP.
ReplyDeletefirst pitch. Fuck
ReplyDeleteAaaaaand he gets Braun. Never mind.
ReplyDeletewhen the best thing your number 2 hitter can do is k you're in trouble
ReplyDelete5 pitches. Was that a joke?
ReplyDeleteI don't know what they think they're doing today. Their approach is bad, their plan is bad, and despite all of that, if they just played average defense it might still be 0-0. What a wasted opportunity this game has been.
ReplyDeletecompletely. Alrhough villy looks great
ReplyDeletetony gwynn???
ReplyDeleteWhere the fuck am I?
This is just pathetic. What a terrible offensive display.
ReplyDelete8th inning, down 3 runs in the playoffs. The Brewers trot out Tony Gwynn Jr, Jason Kendall, and Craig Counsell.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke
All we have to do is hope that Brad Lidge's brain explodes.
ReplyDeletetime to send Lidge back to the looney bin
ReplyDeleteHuh. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be cooler if Branyan were batting now.
ReplyDeleteremember this inning, could be huge getting Lidge to throw so many piotches
ReplyDeleteWell, that's Corey Hart for you.
ReplyDeleteStupid Hall, Weeks, and Cameron. Could have had this one.
ReplyDeleteBut, of course, Bill Hall and Rickie Weeks are terrible defensive players, so when they play terrible defensively, that is to be expected.
ReplyDelete
