The Brewers
designated Joe Dillon for assignment to make room for Casey McGehee, a 3rd basemen from the Cubs' farm system they claimed off waivers. I guess I see the wisdom in this. McGehee was apparently solid in AAA, and Dillon had a pretty bad season.
McGehee sounds pretty bad, but this only moves Joe of the 40-man for now. I bet he'll still be competing for a spot come spring training.
ReplyDeleteI think the Joe Show's over. His swing was text-book tight in 07. It was infected by Bill Hall disease in 08.
ReplyDeleteI'd agree with tracker. I was a big fan of Joe Dillon when he first came up and raked. I thought he had a future. But I think he's done now. I'd love to see him come back to form, but I doubt it'll happen.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. He was old and had a pretty narrow window for success. It's probably closed now.
ReplyDeletegood riddance
ReplyDeleteIf this game ends the WS, by the way, I expect the Brewers to have a new manager by Monday.
