Brewers-Reds Playing for Pride Open Thread

I think the more relevant discussions will revolve around football, but we still got a shot with the Crew!

CF Mike Cameron
3B Craig Counsell
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
SS J.J. Hardy
RF Corey Hart
2B Rickie Weeks
C Jason Kendall
RHP Seth McClung

I really cannot wait until Mike Rivera is no longer a Brewer and can provide insight as to why the heck the Crew refused to play him.

Panthers - Vikings
Bucs - Bears

Both going on now, both hold interest for the Pack.  Go Crew!  Go Panthers!  Go Bucs!

  1. this Patriots game is so awesome. Matt Cassel is bad at football.

  2. Where was that Bad Cassel last week?

  3. McClung out of gas. What the hell is Maddux doing?

  4. And finally Coffey comes in with the bases loaded, 1 out, 1 in.

  5. Why the fuck is Cameron trying to bunt?

  6. Good news; Bears down. Bad; Vikings up.

  7. I'll take the error on what should've been an inning-ending double play to plate a pair.

  8. Even better; Matt Kenseth is out front in Dover.

  9. Cameron got drilled in the knee area.

  10. Where's the mound-charging? It's a beanball fest out there.

  11. And they don't make the Reds pay.

We're to the front end of the new pen rotation.

    ReplyDelete
  12. On to the middle of the pen rotation.

  13. Time for some Badger Mutual Insurance runs.

  14. I went to Delaware once for work. It wasn't what I expected from a mid-Atlantic state. So I buy that.

  15. I can't believe the Dolphins are destroying the Patriots.

  16. They have a high-banked mile track there right next to a casino. Kenseth is still out front and they're closing in on halfway.

Even better, Earnhardt had a wreck, and Kyle Busch is in the process of blowing up, so Kenseth should get out of the 12-hole.

  17. The NFL does stand for Not For Long.

The Super Loser Curse is hitting hard.

  18. Bucs are starting their 2-minute march against the Bears down 7.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Poor clock management on the Bucs' part. They wasted 6 seconds to call their last time-out.

    Down to the Bears' 2.

  20. TOUCHDOWN BUCS!

Will they go for the tie or win?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tie in Chicago. May I suggest a hard hat for Paul (it is Paul that's in Chi-town, right?)?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Braves scored a run and have a man on third and are into the Mets' bullpen. 4-3 Mets.

  23. this is the best first slate of games I can remember in a long time. So many fun games

  24. The Bucs and Giants will start with the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Another Badger Mutual Insurance run.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stupid intentional grounding by Griese.

    Meanwhile, the Bengals held.

    ReplyDelete
  27. And the back end of the pen rotation is in.

    One gone for Torres.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bears also held, but are starting inside their 20.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Come on Sal; we need out #3, not baserunners.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bucs held again as the Bears had a case of the dropsies.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Giants win, Bucs pinned inside their 10.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And Steve, I gotta say, you are a one-man open thread! Nice work.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They always get the second guy, which saves the Bucs.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I was too late to put one up at the Pub today.

    Let's Go Braves!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bucs have the ball, and they're in near-record field goal range.

    ReplyDelete
  36. And they're inside the Bears' 10.

Suicide watch now up for Chicago.

  37. I won't be around for tonight; will be watching the game at my sister's on her big-screen (not HD yet because DirecTV told them to wait until things were hooked up, but I did hook up the surround sound for them at the beginning of the week).

Maybe I should drag my antenna over so they can get the HD feed.

  38. Suicide Warning now up for Chicago:

    Tampa Bay 27
    Chicago 24

    ReplyDelete
  39. Crap. The Mets took a few back. 7-6 Braves, with two outs in the bottom of the 9th.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Braves win!

Okay, 1.5 back with a day off tomorrow and the Mets headed to Chicago. We can still do this!

  41. I'm staying at the downtown Hilton with a beautiful view of the lake - and the hordes of Bears fans walking very slowly back my way.

It's a beautiful sight to behold
