Roy Williams To Miss Packer Game

Meaning that the Pack will not face back-to-back Roy Williamses or horse collar tackles.

Incidentally, when was the last time the Packers played the Cowboys in Green Bay?

  1. 2004, Packers won 41-20 on their way to a 10-6 record. Dallas stumbled to 6-10

  2. Oh, right. The end of the Aiman era, correct? When he was getting his brains beaten in?

  6. Yeah, I realized it was waytoo late after I wrote it. Aikman was probably in the booth by that point. Did we ever play an Aikman team in Green Bay?

In that game in 2004, BTW, Vinny threw for 301 yards and a TD.

  7. In 1999 they beat us in Green Bay behind Jason Garrett. It was the year the Cowboys made the playoffs at 8-8.

    Game was in Dallas.

"The Green Bay Packers (4-5) lost to the Dallas Cowboys (5-4) 27-13 in Dallas Stadium in Irving, Texas. The Packers had a shot at winning with another last second drive, but Brett Favre's pass was intercepted by George Teague and to make matters worse, he returned it for a 95-yard touchdown return as the final seconds ticked off the clock.

"The Packers were in position to tie the score after Fred Vinson recovered an onside kick. After doing so, the Packers had possession at their own 43-yard line. After moving the ball to the Cowboy 41, Favre took a shot at the end zone as Donald Driver beat Deion Sanders down the field, but the pass landed out of the end zone incomplete.

"Favre bounced back with a completion to Bill Schroeder to the Dallas 25-yard line. The next play Favre was intercepted by Teague dashing any hopes for a fourth last second touchdown drive."
