What I mean is that against the Dolphins, the Colts defense appeared unable to stop a power running game, which the Bengals have. Moreover, while the Dolphin passing offense is lackluster, Palmer and Ochocinco allow the Bengals to finish off their drvies a bit better. And the Bengal defense has really impressed me so far.PaulNoonanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01600099270280639424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1413451422114161954.post-26595496902579972272009-09-30T08:59:31.060-05:002009-09-30T08:59:31.060-05:00I agree completely on Russell. I thought about Indy for 5, and while Cincy is admittedly a bit of a reach, I think on a neutral field that Cincy would win that game, at least right now (no Bob Sanders, couldn't stop Ronnie Brown, but the Bengals can pass too.)

I could be wrong though. \KC is bad, but I don't think they're worse than any of these teams. Maybe you'd bump the Redskins? I don't know, the Redskins look pretty sorry.

Also, why did Tyler Thigpen fall out of favor in KC? I understand Cassell, of course, but how did Croyle pass him up? I though Thigpen was actually pretty good last year and I'm shocked that he hasn't found another team at the very least.PaulNoonanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01600099270280639424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1413451422114161954.post-31353781348346103772009-09-29T20:46:16.925-05:002009-09-29T20:46:16.925-05:00I'm pretty high on the Bengals but i definitel...I'm pretty high on the Bengals but i definitely wouldn't have them near the top 5. Pittsburgh is pretty clearly the better team as the Bengals needed a whole bunch of breaks to eke out a win at home, and most people wouldn't put Pitts in the top 5 right now. I'll give that spot to Indy who is surprisingly under the radar this year.

Bottom 5 i think Kansas City just has to be in there somewhere. JaMarcus being so bad is kind of weird, he completed like 67% at LSU against the highest caliber college competition, its not like he was drafted high just b/c the Raiders liked his big arm (he was pretty much a consensus 1 or 2 overall grade by the scouts).Jonnoreply@blogger.com
